Nehemiah could have stayed comfortable in the palace. Instead, he let the brokenness of Jerusalem become his own. Nehemiah noticed, then he wept, then he fasted, then he prayed. His burden wasn’t passive—it was personal. It pushed him toward action, toward leadership, toward change.
